The Roaring 1920's Timeline-
1920- Pittsburgh's KDKA was the first to broadcast commercial radio in the U.S. In the following couple years more and more radio stations were aired. 1922- Filmmakers wanted to censor their own movies so they their own organization. 1923- Bessie Smith recorded her first album. She was a Jazz singer. Jazz was the most popular music at the time. 1925- The Man Nobody Knows was written by Bruce Barton, it was a best-seller. 1927-The first man to fly over the Atlantic alone was Charlels Lindbergh. 1928- The first Mickey Mouse cartoon was created by the one and only Walt Disney. 1929- After the economy reached its highest in September, it crashed the next month. This cause an economic crisis around the world. |
